Screen printing, a printing technique using a mesh screen to transfer ink onto a garment. The blank areas of the screen are coated with an impermeable substance creating a stencil. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open areas mesh with ink. A reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the garment momentarily. This causes the ink to wet the garment and be pulled out of the mesh apertures as the screen springs back after the blade has passed.
