Holiday Prep or Catch Up?

Holiday To Do ListThis time of year businesses are usually gearing up and prepping for the increase in sales during the holiday season. However, here at Pacific we have a bit of a different approach.

Our Holiday Season:

For us winter usually means a little bit slower season. Due to that we have the ability to play a little bit of catch up. Even though we would of course love to be constantly busy during the whole year the holiday season allows us a little bit of time to work on other projects. You know the things that get put on the back burner during our really busy times of the year.

This year we are using our little bit of down time to put the finishing touches on our new building and expanding our apparel show room.  We’re also busy setting up our new automatic screen printing press. This way we can continue to grow and provide awesome t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other great items!  We also have something in the works that we can’t wait to tell you!

Keep your eyes open for our Newsletters for our exciting announcements!

We’ve Expanded!

161201_after | New Building161201_before | New BuildingOver the last 17 months we have been working on a third new building to expand our services! We are proud to announce that we have done it! Our banner finishing team was able to move into the new building at the beginning of November.

New Building:

In August of 2015 our renter moved out of the building and we thought to ourselves that this could be a great opportunity to expand our business. Over the last year our team has worked on updating the building. In that time they poured a new cement floor, replaced the siding on the building, added more power to handle additional lights, heat and sewing machines.

161201_table01 | New Building161201_table02 | New BuildingThough the building is only 1,600 square feet it is the perfect size for our large banner sewing tables. Now that our banner finishing team has their own new building it has given our screen printing team the opportunity to expand as well.

With the large sewing tables out of the screen printing shop we were able to bring in a second automatic screen printing press, a third manual press, and an additional dryer. Giving us the potential to double our apparel screen printing capacity.

We are very excited about our new expansion and we couldn’t wait to share the news with you!

We look forward to helping you on your next big project!

From Our Table to Yours …

Turkey Dinner | ThanksgivingEvery year we sit down with our families around the table, share stories, favorite memories and enjoy a Thanksgiving feast. Everyone has their favorite dishes, whether it is a family tradition or a dish that most families make, but we wanted to share what some of our favorites are.

Susan – “My favorite dish is Heavenly Hash. It’s a type of fruit salad that my Mom made every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas.”

Rick – “I like everything! From the turkey to the stretchy pants, it’s all good.”

Gabe – “I like everything except for the cranberry goo.”

Cam – “I like everything, but if I had to pick one thing it would be green bean casserole.”

Jessica – “My favorite dish growing up was green bean casserole, but over the last few years I’ve decided that it’s not Thanksgiving dinner without the sweet potatoes!”

Ryan – “All I can think of is what I don’t like because that always gets put in front of me at the table … I do like a good classic green bean casserole.”

Josh – “The turkey is my favorite, it’s the most filling and I like meat.”

Gavin – “My favorite thing at Thanksgiving is wine. Beaujolais always comes out that time of year and pairs well with dinner.”

Jeff – “I would have to say sweet potatoes, because it’s like having desert for dinner.”

So from our table to yours we wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!

The Pacific Team

As any business owner knows the longer that you are in business the more people you see come and go through your doors not just customers, but employees too. As Steve said in the article about our history “Without the people that work here none of this could happen.” That’s where the Pacific Team comes in! Get to know our team:

This statement is so true! Here at Pacific Company we have a great team of people. As a matter of fact we love our team so much that we thought that you should get to know them too!

Pacific Team:

Cam – Digital Printer/Graphic Production/Pre-Press/Manager

Cam joined the Pacific team in 1995 shortly after Steve opened his doors for business. Before Pacific Cam graduated from Cheney High School. He attended the skills center for Commercial Art and worked as a t-shirt, sign printer and graphic artist for a couple local shops in Spokane. He loves working at Pacific Company because of the production environment.

Outside of work Cam enjoys playing the drums. He also loves pretty much anything outside from biking and camping to gardening, golf and Frisbee.

Jeff – Sales & Marketing

Jeff became part of the Pacific family in 2004. He graduated from Gonzaga Prep High School. From there went on to get his bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Marketing from the University of Idaho. Since then he has worked in sales for a computer networking manufacturer and then for an internet service provider.

Jeff’s favorite aspect of the job is all the different kinds of customers that he gets to work with. Corporate, schools, events and so much more, he loves taking their ideas and seeing them through to completion. Getting to see the customer’s reaction when they receive their order on time and on budget is the best part.

He was born and raised in Spokane and married his wife Cori in 1994. They have two kids, Carson (14) and Natalie (11). He loves spending time with his friends and family outside of work. Summers are spent at their lake house at Deer Lake and winters are spent snow skiing. When he is not doing that he enjoys watching football and supporting his favorite teams: the Seattle Seahawks, Idaho Vandals and WSU Cougars. When football is not on he makes up for it with Gonzaga Basketball and the Seattle Mariners Baseball.

Roni – Seamstress

Roni jumped on board the Pacific team in April of 2004. After owning her own sewing business and being a wife for 20 years she decided that she wanted to be a part of something a little bigger. Roni absolutely loves everything about her job her at Pacific. From the laid back atmosphere to the sense of humor of the boss, it’s all good! She loves that he is willing to get his hands dirty and jump in and help where he is needed. Roni has been with Pacific for 12 years and has seen the amount of growth that this company has gone through. She feels very blessed to be a part it and she can’t wait to see where we go from here!

Outside of work Roni enjoys reading and working around her house. She has 10 acres of trees so there is always something to be done/worked on at home.

Gavin – Pre-Press & Production

Gavin has been a part of the Pacific Company family since 2012. Before he joined us he worked as a cook/chef and glass blower. He graduated from Spokane Falls Community College with a degree in Fine Art. Gavin loves the independent work environment and the fact that he always has something to work on.

Outside of work Gavin enjoys cooking, fine wines and craft beer, playing the guitar and spending time with his wife and dogs.

Gabe – Screen-Printer

Gabe is the newest addition to our production team, joining us in August 2016. He came to the Spokane area from Pennsylvania 16 years ago and fell in love with the area. Gabe has worked as a screen-printer since 1998 taking extended breaks here and there. He really enjoys working with the crew that we have here at Pacific. “I’ve silk-screened for many years and this is by far the best crew I’ve worked with.”

Outside of work Gabe likes to be outdoors. He loves camping, hiking and playing the harmonica.

Jessica – Marketing/Social Media & Sales

Jessica is also fairly new to Pacific Company as well, coming to us in September 2016. She has a bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication from Montana Tech and has been working in the industry as a Graphic Designer/Marketer since 2012. Even though she has just joined our team she loves the variety of work that she does. Every day is a little different and it keeps things interesting.

In her free time Jessica enjoys teaching Zumba & Pound Fitness, painting, gardening and going on adventures with her husband and their two labs.

Steve – Owner

Rick – Head Screen Printer

Susan – Sales & Production Assistant

Josh – Banner/Sign Finishing
