Get the Most Out of Your Promotional Products

Promotional ProductsSo you have decided to add promotional products to your marketing strategy? Great! However, you are not quite sure how to make them do the work for you that everyone keeps telling you about. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

Make Your Promotional Products Work For You:

Be Creative.

But realistic. Think about your customers and what kind of items they use on a daily basis. Today they can put your logo on pretty much anything that you can think of. But that doesn’t mean that you want to go putting it on something that is not related to your business or isn’t useful to the customer.

If it’s not related to you then the customer might not remember exactly who you are or what you do. If the customer can’t use it then it will probably end up in the trash, and nobody wants that.

Make them visible.

Whether you are at a trade show or even in your office, make sure that your promotional products can be seen. Don’t hide them away in a closet in the office, they won’t do your company any good there. Promo products are essentially walking billboards and therefore cheap advertising for you!

At a tradeshow? Make sure they are on your table so that potential customers can see that you have free goodies and then you can talk them as they grab one.

At the office? Put them in waiting areas, customer service desks, any place that your customers will go and encourage them to take one.

Hand them out everywhere.

Take them to networking events with you and hand these out instead of business cards. Everyone there will be handing out cards and yours will just get lost in the stack! Hand you a custom promotional product and you are sure to stand out from your competition.

However, you do need to be a little careful with this. You don’t want to be handing out something that is big and bulky. This will just get in the way and frustrate the person on the receiving end. Also, you probably don’t want to haul a bunch of bulky items around with you either.

Staff Picks: 4th of July Traditions

4th of JulyEveryone celebrates the holidays a little differently. So we wanted to give you a behind the scenes look into Pacific Company and what our family here does. For America’s birthday we bring you Staff Picks: 4th of July edition.

4th of July

Jeff – “Our family spends the 4th of July up at our lake house on Deer Lake. Every year instead of a regular parade they have a boat parade. Where the families with the boats line up and do a parade around the lake. It ends up being a huge water fight with with the people on the docks and the people in the boats. It’s a blast!”

Rick – “We spend the 4th watching the fireworks around the house and BBQing. We also have to keep an eye on the house and make sure it doesn’t burn down from the all the fireworks in the neighborhood.”

Gabe – “When I was young my dad and I would spend a lot of time playing with those black snakes. They ones that you light on fire and they grow. We would get hours of entertainment out of those! After we moved to the Spokane area we would drive out to Grand Coulee Dam for the 4th. We would spend all night watching the fireworks!”

Jessica – “When I was little we would go over to Butte on the 3rd for the fireworks show. On the morning of the 4th of July we would go back to Butte for the parade. Once that was over we would go back to Anaconda and spend the day playing with the day time fireworks. When it got dark we would light off our big fireworks and put on our own show along with everyone else in town!

The last few years if we are able to make it to Montana we would go to the show in Butte on the 3rd, go to the parade on the 4th and then go to an annual BBQ at a friend’s house. From there we would go watch the fireworks show in Anaconda at night. We really miss the years that we can’t make it back there for the holiday.”

Gavin – “We head up to Loon Lake and spend the day up there.”

Choosing the Right Apparel for Your Needs

Volunteer | Choosing the Right ApparelIf you have ever been in charge of a big event then you know how hard it can be to make a decision that will please everyone. Especially when it comes to choosing the right apparel, everyone has a different style that they prefer. We can give you a few pointers to help you out the next time you have to pick out the gear for an event!

Choosing the Right Apparel:

The good news is that there really isn’t a wrong choice here. Unless you pick out a heavy sweatshirt for something outside in the middle of summer. When choosing apparel for events like fun runs or even family reunions it is best to stick with the basics. We recommend this for a couple reasons.

  • They work great for both men and women.
  • They help keep your costs down.

When choosing apparel for your event think about where your event is and the time of year. If you are doing an indoor event then you would be fine with a basic t-shirts. However if you are doing an outside event in the fall you may want to do a long sleeve shirt or a hoodie. Doing an outdoor event in the summer? You may want to consider doing tank tops instead of a basic cotton tee.

Another thing you may want to think about is the age group that you will be catering to. If they are an older group you may want to steer away from low cut or V-necks. If you crowd is younger then that style would be a great fit.

We know that choosing apparel for an event can seem like a daunting task, but we hope this helps. If you still are not sure about which direction to take it in let us know. We are more than happy to help you find the perfect piece for your event!
