New Products: District® & District Made®

Over the last few months you have heard us talk about this brand quite a bit and there is a reason for that! People love the light weight, soft materials that they use. District has done it yet again.

They have released several new products that are starting to gain popularity with our customers already!

“Highly recommend these tanks! We wanted to offer a tank for our group fitness class participants and we loved how this tank offers a breathable, looser fit while still being stylish and super affordable! The twisted racerback is a detail that sets this tank apart from others and is a huge selling point for our participants.  We are extremely happy with the tank and our experience with Pacific Company!”

Staff Picks: 4th of July Traditions

4th of JulyEveryone celebrates the holidays a little differently. So we wanted to give you a behind the scenes look into Pacific Company and what our family here does. For America’s birthday we bring you Staff Picks: 4th of July edition.

4th of July

Jeff – “Our family spends the 4th of July up at our lake house on Deer Lake. Every year instead of a regular parade they have a boat parade. Where the families with the boats line up and do a parade around the lake. It ends up being a huge water fight with with the people on the docks and the people in the boats. It’s a blast!”

Rick – “We spend the 4th watching the fireworks around the house and BBQing. We also have to keep an eye on the house and make sure it doesn’t burn down from the all the fireworks in the neighborhood.”

Gabe – “When I was young my dad and I would spend a lot of time playing with those black snakes. They ones that you light on fire and they grow. We would get hours of entertainment out of those! After we moved to the Spokane area we would drive out to Grand Coulee Dam for the 4th. We would spend all night watching the fireworks!”

Jessica – “When I was little we would go over to Butte on the 3rd for the fireworks show. On the morning of the 4th of July we would go back to Butte for the parade. Once that was over we would go back to Anaconda and spend the day playing with the day time fireworks. When it got dark we would light off our big fireworks and put on our own show along with everyone else in town!

The last few years if we are able to make it to Montana we would go to the show in Butte on the 3rd, go to the parade on the 4th and then go to an annual BBQ at a friend’s house. From there we would go watch the fireworks show in Anaconda at night. We really miss the years that we can’t make it back there for the holiday.”

Gavin – “We head up to Loon Lake and spend the day up there.”

Choosing the Right Apparel for Your Needs

Volunteer | Choosing the Right ApparelIf you have ever been in charge of a big event then you know how hard it can be to make a decision that will please everyone. Especially when it comes to choosing the right apparel, everyone has a different style that they prefer. We can give you a few pointers to help you out the next time you have to pick out the gear for an event!

Choosing the Right Apparel:

The good news is that there really isn’t a wrong choice here. Unless you pick out a heavy sweatshirt for something outside in the middle of summer. When choosing apparel for events like fun runs or even family reunions it is best to stick with the basics. We recommend this for a couple reasons.

  • They work great for both men and women.
  • They help keep your costs down.

When choosing apparel for your event think about where your event is and the time of year. If you are doing an indoor event then you would be fine with a basic t-shirts. However if you are doing an outside event in the fall you may want to do a long sleeve shirt or a hoodie. Doing an outdoor event in the summer? You may want to consider doing tank tops instead of a basic cotton tee.

Another thing you may want to think about is the age group that you will be catering to. If they are an older group you may want to steer away from low cut or V-necks. If you crowd is younger then that style would be a great fit.

We know that choosing apparel for an event can seem like a daunting task, but we hope this helps. If you still are not sure about which direction to take it in let us know. We are more than happy to help you find the perfect piece for your event!

Top 5 Screen Printing Myths

GabeScreenPrintingEvery industry has been plagued with misconceptions. It is just something that happens over time when people have had any kind of experience with one company. They assume that the rest of the companies in the industry operate the same way. Or they have heard stories where the truth has been stretched from being told by so many different people. So, we at Pacific Company wanted to take a few moments to clear up some of the screen printing myths that we have heard over the years:

Screen Printing Myths

1: Printing local is expensive

Over the last few years online screen printing companies have started to gain quite a bit of popularity stomping out the smaller local screen printing companies. These companies have made it so enticing to order from them and make people think that buying from local screen printing companies will be more expensive. When in reality it is the exact opposite.

When working with an online company they will add in set up fees and shipping into the price per item making them more expensive. At Pacific Company we do not charge you a set-up fee if you order the products from us.

For example on one of those online stores for a basic white t-shirt with a one color print you could end up paying $8-$12 per shirt depending on your quantity. Our price per shirt would be around $7 per shirt, depending on your quantity.

2: You have to order in bulk

For some companies this may be true.  At Pacific Company we handle orders as small as 12 pieces all the way up into the thousands! So whether you have a small company or a big event coming up we can help you!

3: We carry a complete stock of products

Screen Printing Myths | Supplier Warehouse

SanMar Warehouse | Clothing Supplier

As awesome as it would be to have everything you need on hand there are just too many options out there. The catalog from the supplier that we work with is over 700 pages! From the brands to styles to colors and sizes we would need a HUGE building to house all the product alone. We do have a small showroom in house where we keep our most popular items.

Having to order the products from a supplier does not slow down the screen printing process. The suppliers are great at getting the items to us within a matter of a couple days. This works out great with the rest of the screen printing process. The only time there may be an issue is if the supplier has an item the customer wants on back order. Even then we can usually find an alternative option.

4: Screen Printing takes forever to get your order

Screen Printing is quite the process but we have been doing it for so long now that when it comes to getting your order done on time we can do it. We pride ourselves on our turnaround time and the quality of our work!

5: We can print one or two shirts at a time or do finished samples

We would love to be able to help out the people who call in wanting just one t-shirt. Unfortunately, the screen printing process involves several steps before you see the finished process. The set-up process is the most expensive part of screen printing and only doing one shirt would easily end up costing over $25. Once everything is set up it doesn’t make much of a difference if you need 15 shirts or 500. When the quantity increases the overhead costs for the printer decrease. That is why you can get price breaks depending on the quantity that you order.

Because of this we do not do one at a time orders or finished samples. However, we do create a realistic mock-up of your finished shirt.
